Board Order:Fined $500; successfully pass the Written State Board Jurisprudence Exam on June 20, 2007 and speak to the applicants on the subject of having a proper veterinarian-client-patient relationship when issuing prescriptions.
Disposition:The licensee met all the requirements set forth by the Board in the Consent Agreement and the case is considered closed.

Board Order: Licensee shall not work as a veterinarian and shall not be present in a veterinary clinic until authorized by the Board.
Disposition: Licensee accepted the Temporary Consent Order on 07/18/07. On 11/07/07 the licensee submitted a plan under which the practice of veterinary medicine could resume. Because of a previous history with drug problems, the Consent Order was not amended.

- §17-101-305(a)(11) – “Unprofessional Conduct”– Regulation “19F” (failure to render care as generally accepted by the profession through design or neglect) and “19O” (conduct reflecting unfavorably upon the profession)
Board Action: Placed on probation for 10 years; ordered to submit to an evaluation to ascertain competence in the practice of veterinary medicine; fined $5000; ordered to obtain 4 hours of CE in the area of record keeping and 16 hours in the field of wound care; refer all future patients requiring a radiograph.
Disposition: The licensee appealed and the court upheld the Board’s decision. The veterinarian did not renew in 2007 and the Board considered the matter closed in June of 2007.
